'Cumhuriyet'e Dogru' takes center stage in Aydın

As part of the centennial celebrations of the Republic of Türkiye, the Ministry of National Education's theatre play titled "Cumhuriyet'e Dogru" (Toward the Republic) was staged in Aydın.

The play, held at the Ataturk Congress Center of Aydın Adnan Menderes University, depicted the initiation of the national struggle by the founder of the republic, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, and his comrades-in-arms with the support of the Turkish nation.

Written and directed by Bora Severcan, the play featured a cast of 110, including Serdar Yegin, Gulen Karaman, Erhan Yazicioglu, Ahmet Yenilmez, Zuhal Yalcin, Levent Ozdilek, Sebnem Ozinal, Ziya Kurkut, Sefa Zengin, Yigit Yapici and Volkan Severcan.

Speaking at the event, the Provincial Director of National Education Suleyman Ekici expressed his delight at the staging of the play in Aydın.

"Through this theatre play, we will convey to the new and young generations the story of the journey to the Republic of Türkiye and the path that has led us to the present day," he said.
