Deputy Foreign Minister Burak Akcapar held meetings with UN officials to discuss regional and international issues, including developments in Ukraine, Cyprus, and the South Caucasus

Deputy Foreign Minister Akcapar hold talks with United Nations officials

Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Burak Akcapar engaged in a series of meetings with United Nations officials.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Akcapar held discussions with U.N. Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo, U.N. Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix, and Assistant Secretary-General of the U.N. for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations, Miroslaw Jenca.

During the meeting with DiCarlo, regional and international issues, including Ukraine, Cyprus, and Gaza, were addressed.

In his discussions with Lacroix, Akcapar focused on developments related to Cyprus, the South Caucasus, the Summit of the Future, and Türkiye's contributions to U.N. peacekeeping efforts.

Additionally, Akcapar and Jenca exchanged views on developments in the South Caucasus, Central Asia, Ukraine, Cyprus, the Balkans, as well as connectivity.
