Energy and Natural Resources Minister Dr. Alparslan Bayraktar joined in a festive ceremony at the Sehit Aybuke Yalcin well in the Gabar Mountain region of Sirnak.

In his remarks during the event, Bayraktar emphasized that the daily production in the region has surpassed 40,000 barrels, representing a notable milestone in Türkiye's oil production history.

"I want to acknowledge President Erdogan's continuous support and vigilance since the inception of this project. We owe our progress to the unwavering support and prayers of our esteemed citizens," Bayraktar emphasized.

'Our target by the end of 2024 is to reach a daily production of 100,000 barrels'

Bayraktar highlighted the achievement as total national production has surpassed 100,000 barrels. He said Sirnak has emerged as Türkiye's predominant oil hub.
