The Colombian Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern over the discovery of multiple mass graves near Nasser and Shifa hospitals in Gaza, stating that this potentially constitutes a war crime.

The statement underlined the seriousness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and called for a thorough and impartial investigation into the mass graves to uncover the truth.

Colombia emphasizes the urgency for a lasting ceasefire, the immediate release of hostages and swift action to deliver essential aid to civilians affected by the ongoing conflict.

Discovery of mass graves in Khan Younis

On February 15, after a prolonged siege and raid, the Israeli army rendered Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis inoperable.

Following the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Khan Younis on April 7, after four months of ground occupation, mass graves were discovered in the city.
