Dutch cities receive Quran distribution on King's Day for outreach initiative

The Quran in Dutch was distributed across various cities as part of an event named "Invitation to Islam," organized by directors and volunteers of the Why Islam unit within the Muslim Perspective Foundation on King's Day in the Netherlands.

This initiative aimed to explain Islam and introduce the Quran to non-Muslim Dutch individuals.

Attendees of King's Day celebrations in city centers were offered copies of the Quran in Dutch, along with informational brochures about Islam.

Bekir Ekinci, head of the "Why Islam" unit in Rotterdam, expressed the goal of fostering an understanding of Islam and extending invitations to those genuinely interested.

Ekinci mentioned that the event led to at least five people embracing Islam, highlighting the growing interest in Islam in the Netherlands. He emphasized the positive reception, with many expressing eagerness to read the Quran and learn more about Islam.

Stands were set up in 15 cities to coincide with King's Day, providing ample opportunity to engage with a diverse audience. Recipients of the Quran expressed appreciation for the initiative, with Tara Mercera praising it as a means to inspire and share Islam with others.

Silke Hofman, a first-time reader of religious texts, welcomed the distribution of the Holy Quran and pledged to delve into its contents. Similarly, Aty Blaauboer expressed intent to read the Quran and share its teachings with her grandchildren.
