The 13th Filmekimi in Turkey takes place next month featuring works from leading directors such as Jean-Luc Godard, David Cronenberg, Mike Leigh and Abderrahmane Sissako.

Announced on Friday by organizers at the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, the festival runs between October 11 and 17 in Istanbul.

"Mommy," the latest release from 25-year old Canadian director Xavier Dolan, will be screened following its premiere at Cannes Festival in May.

Dolan and 83-year old legendary filmmaker Godard received the Jury Prize at the Cannes this year.

Dolan’s film tells the story of single mother Diane’s struggle to deal with her violent-teenage son.

The festival will be held at four theatres in Istanbul -- Beyoglu Atlas, Beyoglu Beyoglu, Citylife and first time this year Kadikoy Rexx. It will tour other Turkish cities after Istanbul.
