Gala night for first West Thracian-Turkish feature-length film 'Emigrant Love'

A gala night for the first ever West Thracian-Turkish feature-length film Emigrant Love (Sevdanın Göçü) was held in Gümülcine (Komotini).

The audience, both Turkish and Greek artlovers, gave high praise to the film, which was shot in the Western Thrace.

The film tells the story of a romantic relationship between a Greek girl, named Tasula, and a boy named Mustafa and takes place in Bozcaada and Gümülcine.
Producer of the film, Cengiz Bodur said the film doesn't have a take on political matters.
The script was written by Müjgan Bodur, mother of the film's director, Pelin Bodur.
Starring Cihan Bodur, brother of the director, as Mustafa and Nilüfer Arif as Tasula, the film will also be released in Greece.
The producers of Emigrant Love recently made an application to screen the work at Thessaloniki Short Film Festival.
The film was deemed worthy of Best Debut Award at Van and Elazığ Film Festivals.
