Istanbul elected Islamic world youth capital
Istanbul, Turkey’s largest province, has been unanimously elected the Islamic World Youth Capital by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.

OIC affiliate Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue and Cooperation tabled the offer to select Istanbul the youth capital on Thursday during the 42nd Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Kuwait, along with a youth strategy for the future.

The offer received the votes of all 56 member states.

Istanbul will host the OIC Youth Summit in 2016.
