Increase of foreign-shared energy companies in Turkey
Capital of electricity producing foreign-shared companies in Turkey has grown 40 times in one year, according to data from Turkey's union of chambers.

Total capital of newly-established electricity producing foreign-shared companies has reached 720 million Turkish liras ($116 million) at the end of November, according to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

During the first 11 months of 2014, 43 electricity producing companies with foreign partners were established, according to the union.

During the same period in 2013, 33 electricity producing companies with foreign partners had been established with a total capital of nearly 18 million Turkish liras ($7.7 million).

Between January and November, the number of newly-established energy companies reached 2.018, 

There were 1,623 new electricity, gas and climate companies during the first 11 months of 2014, while there were 395 new mining and quarrying companies.
