Turkish health ministry sends vaccines to Pakistan

Turkey's Health Ministry has delivered 150,000 meningitis vaccines to Pakistan, with the help of the Turkish Red Crescent.

The vaccines, worth nearly US$6.6 million, will be used for Pakistani people who will go on religious pilgrimage.

"We heard that our brother country needs vaccines, and immediately mobilized for relieving Pakistan," said Demet Sekercioglu, Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad.
