Syria missiles locked-on again to Turkish jets
Syria's missile systems 'harassed' Turkish fighter jets on Friday, the Turkish General Staff announced in a statement. Turkey’s General Staff said that missile systems deployed in Syria locked on to Turkish F-16 fighter jets along the Turkey-Syria border. The incident happened while Turkish F-16 jets were performing routine combat air patrol on the Turkey-Syria border, according to the statement published on the General Staff's website.

Tensions in the area have remained high since Turkish forces shot down a Syrian warplane for entering its airspace on March 23. The two countries share more than 800 km of border.
