President Erdogan: 'Turkey will unearth perpetrators of Suruc'

The Turkish Presidency published a statement on Wednesday on the PKK attack in Ceylanpınar, southeast Turkey, which claimed the lives of two policemen.

President Erdogan: 'Turkey will unearth perpetrators of Suruc'
Penned by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the statement strongly condemned 'the killing of two Turkish police officers by the PKK terrorist organization'. The president also sent his condolences to the martyred policemen Feyyaz Yumuşak and Okan Acar's families and relatives.

Erdoğan also emphasized that Turkey is against all kinds of terrorism and terrorist organizations including the outlawed PKK and the self-proclaimed Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) terrorist organization.

"The Turkish government is ready to use every means available to uncover the perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Suruç which killed 32 people and reveal those who martyred two policemen in Ceylanpınar," the president added.

Erdoğan said that the real intentions of the people, who turned a blind eye to the nefarious killings of the two police officers which were claimed by the PKK and those who tried to legitimize the terrorist organization, were obvious.

Underlining that terror has no religion, sect or nationality, the president stated that the Turkish nation is aware that acts of brutality can in no way be justified and one terrorist organization is not preferable over the other.

"It is a shameful situation that some communities do not even have the courage to condemn PKK's attacks but publicly express their support for them and remain silent in the face of brutal acts of terrorism," Erdoğan further added.

"Acts to disrupt our country's peace and stability, harm our nation's unity and solidarity will not be allowed, at any cost," added the president in the statement.

"I strongly condemn every terror act and I wish that those injured in the attacks will recover in a short time," the president said.
