Earths magnetic poles signal shifting

Magnetic poles of the earth likely to do a somersault in a period shorter than the expected.
The magnetic field change was indeed predicted to become a reality in a period of two thousand years.
However, latest studies showed that within a hundred years the earths magnetic poles will change so that magnetic north will point to Antarctica, and the magnetic south will show the north. The process leading to the shift will make the compasses point the wrong way, and migrating birds, fishes as well as turtles will be very confused in finding their routes.
Studies by the European Space Agency have revealed that since 1831, the North Pole has been advancing towards Siberia.
At the same time, the earths magnetic field has been weakening ten times faster than the predicted. A waning magnetic field means a weaker protective shield, which scientists say one of the major reasons behind the increased cases of genetic mutations and cancer.
