FC Barcelona transfer ban suspended
FIFA Discipline Committee's transfer ban decision over Catalan football club Barcelona was suspended Wednesday. On FIFA's website, it said that FIFA discipline committee's decision on the transfer ban on Barcelona which was due to last for 14 months - covering two transfer periods, has been suspended after the club's appeal. FIFA Board of Appeals decided to suspend the sanction against Barcelona as it would not be imposed promptly. Catalan giant Barcelona may now buy or sell any player in the summer transfer period.

Barcelona had been sanctioned with a 14-month-transfer ban for infractions related to transfer and registration of players under the age of 18 and were fined US$508,000 by FIFA Discipline Committee in early April.
