Catalan side complete transfer of French defender Jeremy Mathieu for four seasons.
La Liga giants Barcelona have transferred Valencia's 30-year-old French defender, who can either play centre-back and left-back, Jeremy Mathieu for a fee of 20 million (US$27 million) on Wednesday.
Mathieu will sign a contract with Barcelona for the next four seasons, plus an optional additional season.
It is reported that his buyout clause in Barcelona is 50 million.
Having played for Sochaux and Toulouse while in France, the towering defender has been capped twice for "Les Bleus".
