2014 FIBA World Cup: First group games end, USA wins with 59-point margin
The first group matches in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup were played on Saturday night in Spanish cities Granada, Sevilla, Bilbao and the island of Gran Canaria.

Favorites USA smashed Finland by 59 points in Bilbao, as 24-year-old shooting guard Klay Thompson -- playing for NBA's Golden State Warriors – scored 18 points, followed by New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis adding 17.

Hosts Spain cruised past Iran 90-60 in Granada, with Spanish center Pau Gasol dominating the scoring with 33 points and 8 rebounds.

His brother Marc Gasol contributed to the victory by scoring a "double-double" with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
