Villa's four match unbeaten run is ended by the Gunners
Away team Arsenal took the lead when German attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil finished one-on-one after receiving a through-ball in the 32th minute. That was Ozil's first goal in the league this season.

One minute later, the Gunners' forward Danny Welbeck -- getting assisted by his teammate Ozil with a cross -- found the net from close range: 2-0.

In the 35th minute, Aston Villa's French defender Aly Cissokho tapped the ball towards his own goal and the ball went in, bringing the score to 3-0.

Arsenal dictated the tempo of the play in the remaining time, ending Aston Villa's four-match unbeaten run in the league.

Increasing its points to 9, the London club climbed to third place in the table while Aston Villa, which collected 10 points so far, still remain in runners-up position.

Saturday's results are as follows:

Queens Park Rangers - Stoke City: 2-2

Aston Villa - Arsenal: 0-3

Burnley - Sunderland: 0-0

Newcastle United - Hull City: 2-2

Swansea City - Southampton: 0-1

In the last match of Saturday, Liverpool will be hosted by West Ham United at 17:30 GMT.
