Fenerbahce have defeated archrivals Galatasaray Odeabank 56-48 to win the women basketball's Turkish President's Cup, three times in a row.

Fenerbahce beat archrivals Galatasaray Odeabank 56-48 to win the 22nd Turkish President’s Cup in women's basketball at Yasar Dogu Sports Hall in Turkey’s Samsun province Sunday.

The victorious side Fenerbahce won the trophy for the tenth time. Moreover, this was the team’s third straight win in a row.

Both teams started to the derby in a high tempo. Fenerbahce won the first quarter 16-14. Having continued their steady form, Fenerbahce completed the second quarter six points ahead, 32-26.

“Yellow Canaries” dominated the third quarter as well and led the game 44-33 before the last quarter. In the fourth quarter, Fenerbahce played comfortably thanks to the gap and won the game against their archrivals.

Fenerbahce were crowned as the winners in the derby; two U.S. basketballers, Tina Charles and Angel McCoughtry, each scored 18 points.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray Odeabank tried to resist their opponents with Spanish playmaker Nuria Martinez, who scored 11 and U.S. center Kelsey Bone, who scored 14 points.
