Spain crowned EuroBasket 2015 champions
Spain took its third European basketball title in the last four tournaments Sunday as it triumphed 80-63 against Lithuania in the EuroBasket final.

Pau Gasol’s “double-double” was vital in the Spaniards’ victory as he took 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

The 35-year-old center was selected as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Gasol's teammates Sergio Llull secured 12 points while Rudy Fernandez got 11.

Spain won the tournament in 2009 and 2011 but settled for third-place two years ago when France won the title.

Lithuania’s Mantas Kalnietis and Renaldas Seibutis tallied 13 points each.

Gasol also made the contest’s All-Star Five, alongside Lithuania’s Jonas Valanciunas and Jonas Maciulis, Nando De Colo of France and Spain’s Sergio Rodriguez.

Host nation France finished third in the tournament after beating Serbia 81-68. De Colo was top scorer with 20 points.
