Apple has sold more than 500 million iPhones, 200 million iPads and 100 million iPod Touch devices to date. Cook said that there are now 1.2 million apps available on Apple's AppStore, with 75 billion downloads to date since the launch. There are nine million registered Apple developers.

Cook added that the company had updated their desktop and mobile operating systems, improving integration across Apple devices.

Apple reported that iPhone sales had increase in quarterly revenue by 4.6 percent to $45.6 billion on April 24, beating market expectations, after selling 43.7 million iPhones in January through March of 2014.
