250,000 people evacuated in Chinas Zhejiang

Typhoon Fung-Wong has made landfall in east Chinas Zhejiang Province, with wind speeds reaching 28 meters per second.
Having landed Monday night, Fung-Wong entered the waters of Hangzhou Bay along the provinces northeastern coast early Tuesday, and is expected to hit Shanghai later in the day.
The typhoon brought strong winds and downpours, prompting the province to issue a second-level warning.
Primary schools in typhoon-hit cities are closed, more than 250,000 people were evacuated by Monday noon, and nearly 32,000 ships were called back to seek shelter at ports.
Typhoon Fung-Wong is moving northeast and is expected to reach the borders of the southern Yellow Sea and northern East China Sea Tuesday evening.
