Arab League condemns sectarian violence in Iraq

"We strictly condemn bomb attacks in which tens of people died and wounded especially during Ramadan (the Muslim holy month of fasting) in Iraq, which reached a worrisome level," Arab League Secretary General Nabeel El-Araby said Sunday in a written statement.  Arabi appealed to all sides in Iraq to put political differences aside in order to remove terrorism and extremism and warned that mutual "accusations and an assailant style would increase disintegration and separation more." In northern province Diyala in Iraq, 250 Sunni families were compelled to immigrate from Al-Mikdad, a city in the northern part of Iraq due to bomb attacks and death threats. In addition, in Ramadan, many bomb attacks in capital Baghdad killed 32 people and wounded 94 others.
