Syrian organizations thank Turkey in British Daily Telegraph

45 Syrian organizations around the globe and Syria thanked people and Government of Turkey in a newspaper advertisement letter in British Daily Telegraph for the solidarity with Syrian people during the ongoing human tragedy in Syria. In the full-page advertisement, the organizations addressed to Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and all Turkish people. "We will never forget that the generous and the goodhearted citizens of Reyhanli, Antakya, Gaziantep, Kilis, Sanliurfa, Kahramanmaras, Adana, Istanbul, Ankara and many other cities in the great and proud nation of Turkey have opened their homes and hearts to tens of thousands of their brothers and sisters fleeing Assad's tyranny and opposition in Syria, and treated the Syrian refugees as honorable guest at a time of much stress" said the letter. Stating that history would certainly remember the sacrifices of the people of Anatolia who extended a helping hand to Syrian people during the difficult times, the letter said:

"As Syrian societies and organizations, we are thankful and grateful for the tremendous effort you have showed to the Syrian children, women, the elderly and tens of thousands of Syrians seeking refuge in your country, as well as our families who are still suffering under the oppression of the Assad regime within Syria."

Offering condolences over the attack on May 11 in Reyhanli district of Hatay, the letter ended as "We would like to take this opportunity to wish our brothers and sisters in Turkey a blessed Eid, and thank you for easing the pain of Syrian people ever so slightly during this blessed Eid."
