Typhoon victims eat cats, dogs to survive

Victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines are struggling to survive after the devastating disaster, with survivors in Tacloban city especially facing difficulty in finding food and clean water.  Hospicio Doldolea, a disaster victim, said, "some people in rural areas started eating cats and dogs to survive." Victims suffering from hunger plead for immediate help from the international community. Meanwhile, as corpses which have remained in the streets for days are expected to be buried in a mass grave tonight, they will be lined up in bags waiting to be taken to burial sites, according to officials.  Typhoon Haiyan swept through the islands of the Philippines on November 8, leaving at least 4,400 people dead and thousands displaced.
