Turkey's natural gas import for January hits record
Turkey's imported record volumes of natural gas for January in 2014 was announced by the  Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) on Monday.  According to the data released by EMRA, Turkey’s imported natural gas volumes reached the record-high 4 billion 791 million 870 thousand cubic meters for January in 2014, representing an increased of 5.6 percent compared to January 2013, which was 4 billion 536 million 250 thousand cubic meters.  EMRA said that Turkey's total domestic gas consumption for February 2014 is estimated to be 46.5 billion cubic meters, a decrease of 0.5 billion cubic meters compared to last year.
