Turkey has earned $1.6 billion from 116 privatization tenders so far this year.

The total amount of completed privatization processes in first half of 2014 exceeded $1.6 billion, official data shows.

According to data collected from Privatization Administration, Turkey earned more than $1.2 billion from 116 privatization tenders so far this year.

The largest privatization of this year was sale of GALATAPORT with a price of $702 million, followed by a property in Istanbul owned by treasury with a price of $482 million.

Also, privatization through transfer of operational rights reached $444 million so far this year, lifting overall privatization revenue from this year to more than $1.6 billion.
