Turkish Airlines embarks on global promotion campaign

Turkish Airlines from Friday will be using its Airbus A-321 aircraft to display national cultural figures as part of the ‘Discover the Potential-Turkey’ scheme.

The airplanes, adorned with prominent, influential figures inside and outside, aim to increase Turkey’s international visibility.

The new campaign has been backed by government and representatives from business circles including Economy Minister Mustafa Elitas and the head of the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly Mehmet Buyukeksi.

In a speech on Friday, Elitas said that Turkish Airlines’ globetrotting was greatly useful in promoting Turkey.

"Turkey began to break from its shell starting from the 2000s. As the country started to show an economic transformation in the 1980s and came to the fore with exports…our position now is praiseworthy," he said.

Turkish Airlines CEO Ilker Ayci said that his firm would like to carry the message of ‘Discover the Potential-Turkey’ on all things which carry the mark of Turkish Airlines.
