Argentina purchased the US-made Basler BT-67 utility aircraft for a total of 143 million dollars through the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) agreement.
The Argentine Air Force is advancing to modernize its air force by acquiring the Basler BT-67 turboprop utility aircraft. The supply occurred within the framework of the FMS agreement approved by the US State Department.
In addition to acquiring a single aircraft, the Argentine Government procured supplementary equipment worth $143 million, including spare engines, logistical resources, and training assistance.
These aircraft are expected to improve Argentina's ability to address present and future risks by offering extra capabilities for airborne and airlift operations to support Antarctica during the winter season.
