Lithuania sends L-39ZA light attack aircraft to Ukraine

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense has officially announced that it has handed over the final round of Albatros light combat aircraft to Ukraine as part of its military assistance program. Through this latest round of assistance, Lithuania has provided Ukraine with over 1 billion euros ($1.07 billion) in aid.

Lithuania provided Ukraine with various forms of assistance, including 155 mm ammunition, M577 armored personnel carriers, drone jamming equipment, power generators, and Carl Gustaf recoilless rifle bullets.

Lithuania is leading a coalition assigned the responsibility of demining Ukrainian territory. The World Bank is believed to have allocated over $37 billion to these mine-clearing activities, which exceeds the worth of the entire area that needs to be cleared of mines.

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the aircraft are fully prepared to combat unfavorable weather conditions at any time of the day.
