Defense Ministry shares footage of Turkish forces in Qatar

Ministry of National Defense shared footage of military training activities organized by Qatar-Turkish Joint Forces.

The footage shared on the Ministry's social media account featured military training exercises conducted by the joint forces in Qatar.

The post stated, "Our heroic soldiers, the source of our nation's confidence, continue their military training, assistance, and advisory activities in Qatar as the Qatar-Turkish Joint Forces with great success.

Doha and Ankara signed a defense agreement in 2014 under which Türkiye established a base in the Gulf country at the request of the Qatari government.

By 2017, additional Turkish troops had been deployed to Qatar, with further reinforcements arriving on July 17, increasing the Turkish military contingent in the country. Presently, over 3,000 Turkish soldiers are stationed in Qatar to assist the Qatari population.
