During these meetings, President Erdogan evaluated both bilateral relations and raised the issue of Israel's attacks on Gaza.

He emphasized the need for an urgent and lasting cease-fire in Gaza and uninterrupted humanitarian aid delivery to Palestinians. In this context, he spoke with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas over the phone and hosted Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh in Istanbul.

President Erdogan also had face-to-face meetings with some heads of state and government leaders.

He met with the presidents of Germany and Tanzania in Ankara. He received the prime minister of Kazakhstan in Ankara and the prime minister of the Netherlands, as well as the foreign ministers of Egypt and New Zealand, in Istanbul.
