Turkey's new consul general in Irbil meets Barzani

Mehmet Akif Inam, Turkey's new consul general in Irbil, met on Thursday with president Massoud Barzani of the regional administration in the north of Iraq.  Stating that there were many areas on which Turkey and the regional administration could make cooperation agreements, Inam told Anadolu Agency that he would do his best to improve relations. "I feel at home here, we are the parts of the same history and geography," said Inam, adding that there were many Turkish companies operating in the region and contributing a lot to the regional economy.
