Turkish President Abdullah Gul said regarding a recent terrorist attack on a military convoy in Nusaybin town of the southeastern Mardin province that solution process in Turkey cannot operate unilaterally. He added, if anyone takes up arms again, it is the state, it is the Republic of Turkey, that has stronger arms than they have. Gul replied questions of reporters during his visit to Governor's office in northern Gumushane province on Saturday. Upon a question about the recent armed attack on the military convoy in Mardin, Gul said Turkish security forces were always in a state of military vigilance, adding everyone desired for a parmenant peace and stability and stiffening of fraternity in the country. Great efforts are exerted to provide that and no attack will be tolerated, said the president, hoping that the attack was a sudden, unrestrained and unplanned one.  Upon a statement saying the terrorist organization PKK had not committed any armed action for a long while, but only kidnapped people, Gul stated that several incidents occurred in recent days and the security officers did the necessary things in case of such incidents.
