The two leaders are expected to cover the Syrian crisis, Iran’s nuclear program and other matters on economic relations, including energy.

Turkish PM Erdogan and Putin meet in St. Petersburg

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg on Friday. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov also attended the high-level talk. Meeting before the Russian-Turkish High-Level Cooperation Council meeting, Erdogan and Putin agreed that talks would improve relations between the two countries and pave the way for further steps on mutual interests.
