"Why not? I am ready to meet with Rouhani. I don't have any enemy. We don't see Iran as an enemy," Peres told in response to a question on whether he would meet with Iranian president.  Stating that hostility was a matter of policy not a personal matter Peres continued, "There were some days that we didn't want to meet with Arafat [ former Palestinian leader] and we said that if he changed his policy, why not? We side with peace." Israeli president also expressed his hopes that negotiations, which will take place next month, will prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons though peaceful ways.
