Board rejects AK Party's election objection for Hatay
Turkey's Supreme Election Board unanimously rejected the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party's objection to local election results in southeastern region Hatay on Tuesday.

The party filed an objection with the board, claiming names of those who voted belong to people who were dead and disabled people or soldiers who were not in the region. The top electoral body rejected the complaint after consulting with Hatay's provincial board.

In local election held on March 30, the main opposition Republican People's Party's candidate won the municipality in Hatay.
