Turkish President Erdogan departs for Slovenia
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan departed from Istanbul on Monday to Slovenia, along with his wife and a delegation, for an official visit.

Erdogan spoke to reporters at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport and said there were no changes to his upcoming official visit to Iran.

He also said that Turkey is following the Yemen crisis.

“Developments in Yemen are very important for us,” Erdogan said.

Several Arab states have joined the Saudi-led offensive, which started late Wednesday with a string of airstrikes against Houthi positions in Yemen, including some in the capital Sanaa.

Fractious Yemen has been in turmoil since last September, when the Houthis overran Sanaa, from where they have sought to extend their influence to other parts of the country.

Some Gulf countries accuse Shiite Iran of supporting the Houthi insurgency.
