PKK terrorists fired military helicopter which rescues pregnant woman
A Turkish military helicopter was used to transfer a pregnant woman to a hospital in Hakkari province after suspected militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, shut down a key road in the area, security forces said in a statement Saturday.

According to the statement, “the separatist terrorist organization” had put the pregnancy of a 22-year-old woman, Lahican Kacar, at risk by closing down the road on a bridge that links the southeastern Cukurca town to Hakkari city, referring to the PKK which is listed as a terror group by Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union.

The suspected PKK militants also allegedly cut off electricity in the area by damaging nearby power distribution units with explosives.

Turkish security forces came to the aid of Kacar and transferred her from the Cukurca State Hospital to the Hakkari State Hospital.

The military helicopter had also came under fire when it arrived in Hakkari, but the immediate response of security forces dealt with the situation, the statement added.

Kacar and her baby were now in good condition, hospital sources said.
