Galatasaray hopeful for a Turin victory under Mancini

Galatasaray are getting ready for a UEFA Champions League Group B clash with Italian giants Juventus on match day 2 in Turin on Wednesday. Newly appointed Galatasaray coach Roberto Mancini will visit Turin to lead his team against Italy’s two times Champions League Cup winners to take first ever group point(s). Former FC Inter Milan and Manchester City FC manager Mancini has signed a three-year deal with Galatasaray after Fatih Terim’s contract was one-sidedly terminated by the club. Juventus and Galatasaray have faced each other in two UEFA Champions League group stages. In 2003/04 Alessandro Del Piero scored twice in Turin to earn Juventus a 2-1 victory. On match Day-1 in Group B, Galatasaray suffered one of their worst CL defeats in Istanbul by only scoring one goal against six Real Madrid goals under Terim’s management. Juventus on the other hand managed to return Italy from FC Kopenhagen with a 1-1 draw. The game will kick off at 20:45 CET at Juventus Stadium  in Turin. In the other group game Real Madrid will take on Denmark's FC Kopenhagen in Spanish capital Madrid with the same kick off time.
