Manchester City becomes English Premier League champions
Manchester City won the 2013-14 English Premier League title for the second time in three seasons with a comfortable 2-0 win on Sunday over West Ham United. 'City' cruised past to victory with goals by Samir Nasri late in the first half and Vincent Kompany early in the second half.

Manchester City last won the title in 2012.

The second place holder Liverpool, which entered the final matchday two points behind the champions, needed a West Ham win in order to keep its title hopes alive.

The Merseyside team completed a successful season with a 2-1 win over Newcastle United.
