Galatasaray Liv Hospital finally beat Fenerbahce Ulker in the third game of theTurkish Beko Basketball League finals but they still trail 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.
In the third game of the Turkish Beko Basketball League finals, home team Galatasaray Liv Hospital managed to defeat Fenerbahce Ulker 73-64, in Istanbul on Sunday. Fenerbahce still lead the best-of-seven series two games to one.
The game between the two Istanbul teams was contentious until the last quarter when home team Galatasaray Liv Hospital finally broke away.
Galatasaray Liv Hospital Serbian power forward Zoran Erceg scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed 8 rebounds while his teammate Turkish small forward Cenk Akyol, contributed 12 points for the win.
For the losing Fenerbahce, Serbian power forward, Nemanja Bjelica, had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds and Turkish shooting guard, Melih Mahmutoglu, added 14 points.
The fourth game of the series will be played on June 10 at Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall, Galatasaray Liv Hospital's home court. Tip-off is at 1700GMT.
