The Italian Football Federation has announced Antonio Conte as the new national head coach.

A statement released on Friday said Conte had accepted a two-year contract to manage the Azzurri. He will be assisted by Arrigo Sacchi.

The Italian press reported the former Juventus boss, who won three titles with the club, will receive 3.6 million euros over the two years, increasing to 4 million euros with bonuses.

He will be officially unveiled on Tuesday.
