Manchester City's Spanish midfielder Javi Garcia moved to Russian club Zenit St Petersburg on Friday.

According to a statement on Zenit's website, Garcia made the switch for a 15 million euros transfer fee in a five-year deal.

Garcia, 27, has been capped twice for Spain. He said: "I'm very happy to be at Zenit and I would like to contribute to my new club immediately."

He is Zenit’s second signing of the summer, following Argentine defender Ezequiel Garay.
