Colombian star forward Radamel Falcao has been loaned by Monaco to English Premier League side Manchester United.

Sky Sports stated that the Red Devils took Falcao on loan on Monday until the end of the season.

Initially purchased by Monaco for a €60 million transfer fee last summer, Falcao scored 11 goals in 19 appearances for the Monegasque side last season. He missed most of the season and World Cup due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

It is expected that the former Porto and Atletico Madrid forward will arrive in Manchester on Monday for a medical check-up.

Falcao's new club signed five players this summer: Luke Shaw; Marcos Rojo; Ander Herrera; Daley Blind and Angel Di Maria.
