Turkey to face Denmark in friendly match
The Turkey National Football Team will play a friendly match against Denmark in Odense on Wednesday.

The game at TRE-FOR Park which kicks off at 19:00 GMT (21.00 local time in Turkey) has seen the Danish football federation reserve 3,000 tickets for Turkish fans which this year sees the federation celebrate its 125th year of its foundation.

"Several players' injury problems or their ineligibility to play has upset us. I think, however, our national pool has many alternative players in every position," Turkish head coach Fatih Terim said.

"Passion will be on a higher level in the international games" he added.

Terim stated they have formed a team not only for the UEFA Euro 2016 but also for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He also confirmed Fenerbahce's goalkeeper Volkan Demirel's omission from the national team.

The game against Denmark will serve Turkey as preparation for the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying Group A match to be played against Iceland on September 9.
