Liverpool's German midfielder Emre Can out for six weeks
English Premier League club Liverpool's German midfielder Emre Can will be out of action for almost six weeks due to an ankle injury.

Liverpool confirmed on Thursday that Can was injured while on duty with Germany’s Under-21 squad.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is also out for at least three weeks following a thigh injury incurred with England last week.

Having scored 25 goals in 33 matches for Liverpool last season, Sturridge has found the net once in three Premier League matches this season.

Can has not started in Liverpool’s three league games but was brought on as a sub against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
