Turkish Super League sees head-to-head title race
Turkey’s Spor Toto Super League title race among the three Istanbulite giants, Besiktas, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, is at full speed.

Galatasaray will play an away game against Medicana Sivasspor on Saturday. Galatasaray, which stands in third place, is only two points behind league leader Besiktas.

Galatasaray may be able to lead the league if they topple Medicana Sivasspor this weekend. The match in Sivas province will kick off at 19:00 local time (1700 GMT).

League leaders Besiktas want to maintain their lead. The Black Eagles will play against Eskisehirspor in an away match on Sunday. Besiktas goalkeeper and team captain Tolga Zengin is suffering from a knee injury, so he will miss the game in Eskisehir. The match will start at 19:00 (1700 GMT).

Besiktas' closest rivals in standings, Fenerbahce, will host underdogs Akhisar Belediyespor on Monday in Istanbul.

The Yellow Canaries' veteran goalkeeper Volkan Demirel is suspended for the match versus Akhisar Belediyespor. The game at Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium will begin at 20:00 (1800 GMT).
