Late equalizer helps Galatasaray cling to a 1-1 draw against archrival Fenerbahce on latters home turf in Istanbul derby
Fenerbahce drew against archrival Galatasaray 1-1 in a derby Sunday evening in Turkish football's first division Spor Toto Super League at Fenerbahce Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul.
Fenerbahce scored the leading goal in the 37th minute when the Yellow Canaries' Brazilian attacking midfielder Diego found the net right outside the penalty area: 1-0.
The home team appeared to push the brakes later down the stretch seeking to preserve the narrow lead, but Galatasaray managed to equalize thanks to a close-range header by winger Olcan Adin in 84.
