Turkey's squad for the Euro 2016 football tournament has been announced.

The Turkish Football Federation revealed Tuesday the names of the 23 players picked by manager Fatih Terim.

Among the notable absentees, Besiktas star Gokhan Tore, Fenerbahce midfielder Alper Potuk and Galatasaray winger Yasin Oztekin did not make the cut. Turkish striker Mevlut Erdinc -- who played for French club Guingamp this past season -- and Bursaspor veteran center back and the club's team captain Serdar Aziz were not picked either.

However, 18-year-old forward Emre Mor, born in Denmark, was selected.

The Euro 2016 will be held in France from June 10 to July 10.

The players selected by Fatih Terim for the tournament are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Volkan Babacan, Harun Tekin, Onur Recep Kivrak

Defenders: Gokhan Gonul, Sener Ozbayrakli, Caner Erkin, Ismail Koybasi, Hakan Kadir Balta, Mehmet Topal, Semih Kaya, Ahmet Yilmaz Calik

Midfielders: Nuri Sahin, Selcuk Inan, Ozan Tufan, Oguzhan Ozyakup, Yunus Malli, Volkan Sen, Arda Turan, Olcay Sahan, Hakan Calhanoğlu

Forwards: Burak Yilmaz, Emre Mor and Cenk Tosun
