Belgium beat Sweden in Group E clash

Turkey’s hopes of making it through were dashed after the night’s other Group E clash ended with an unexpected 1-0 win for the Republic of Ireland over Italy.

Belgium broke the deadlock in the 84th minute when Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan fired outside the penalty box.

The result means Sweden have been eliminated from Euro 2016.

Belgium will meet Hungary in the next stage.
